Rachel Riley's 'crude' boob comment leaves antiques expert red-faced

Rachel Riley took an antiques expert by surprise when she made a "crude" comment on an unusual item during a search of collectables.

The Countdown presenter appeared on a pre-recorded episode of Celebrity Antiques Roadshow on Wednesday (November 10) as she competed with her husband and Strictly Come Dancing partner Pasha Kovalev to find items for an auction.

The 35-year-old visited an antiques shop, where expert Davide Harper decided to give her a test.

He said: "Right Rachel I know you love quizzes so I've got an object here – can you guess what it is?"

Rachel took a quick glimpse at the goggle-like stand and replied: "I don't want to be crude but it's something with boobies isn't it?

"It's got the booby shape with the little screw nipples."

"It's a bra stand!" David revealed.

Rachel couldn't believe there was such a thing for an undergarment and thought it should have a "shoulder" to hold the straps.

She suggested it could be a stand for a corset instead.

"Look at the size of it, I'm just going to grab it," she added.

"Compared to me – and I know I am pregnant and everything – but how small was this woman?"

David was left red-faced and said: "Well people come in all shapes and sizes."

While Rachel was considering the potential value of the item, David doubted it could fetch a good price, adding: "But it will give us some fun."

Rachel joked: "You speak for yourself. I will pop it down and leave you with it."

Earlier this week, Rachel announced the news that she gave birth to her second child.

She posted a lovely picture with Pasha and their newborn on Instagram, and wrote: "Introducing Pasha’s newest dance partner – baby Noa was finally born, 15 days after her due date, late on Friday night to the sound of fireworks!

"She’s totally adorable and her big sister Maven has already tried welcoming her to the world by offering Oatly and pickles, we think that’s a good sign."
